Courier service for donor registries
A courier stays with the cells from collection to transplant.
RoseButterfly Medical Couriers provides trained, accompanied couriers for blood stem cell products and other time-critical medical shipments, on behalf of donor registries. Any route, any mission.
- Hand-carried, donor to recipient
- Developed around WMDA Transport Guidelines v4
- Domestic and international
What we do
One courier, one product, no hand-offs in between.
A recipient is waiting on the other end of every transport. We treat the product as the only job the courier has until it is delivered.
Accompanied transport
A trained courier carries the product personally, from the collection centre to the transplant centre. It is never left with a third party or checked in as cargo.
Any mission
No fixed corridors and no minimum volume. Send us the pickup and destination and we confirm whether we can take it.
Clear reporting
Status updates to the registry throughout the mission. Transport incidents go to the registry's contact first, so the registry can file them through WMDA's SPEAR system.
How a mission works
Four steps, all by email or phone.
- You send the detailsPickup, destination, timing, product type and the price you are offering.
- We reply within 24 hoursWe tell you whether we can take the mission and agree the terms with you.
- A courier is assignedYou receive the courier's name and itinerary before departure.
- Delivery and confirmationThe courier hands the product to the receiving team. You receive written confirmation.
Standards
Built around WMDA guidance.
We are developing our quality system around section 1.2 of the WMDA Transport Guidelines (Version 4, 2021): courier selection, training, and incident management.
WMDA's International Standards (2024) place responsibility for transport on the entity providing the courier. We accept that responsibility on every mission.
Patient and donor identifiers do not travel over open channels. Please do not put them in your request. We will ask for them through your registry's secure process.
Who runs it
You deal with me directly.
I'm Jack Morad, and I run RoseButterfly Medical Couriers from Atlanta. From 2021 to 2025 I operated a FedEx last-mile delivery contract in Columbus, Georgia, rebuilding it over four years before selling it. I also work as a courier on stem cell transports, so I know what the job asks of the person carrying the product.
For couriers
Carry cells that save a life.
We are building a roster of couriers for accompanied transports, domestic and international. If you travel well, stay calm under a deadline and handle confidential information with care, we want to hear from you.
Missions come as registries request them. Tell us where you are based and when you are available, and we will contact you as missions match.
Couriers are paid per mission or per day.
Courier training is being developed around the WMDA Transport Guidelines and each registry's procedures.
